A Table of Contents (in progress) for a translation of Sarah's story (in progress)
Welcome to 'The Life of H: Sarah, Reimagined,' which is an ⚡️ empowered feminine, 🌱 restorative, and 💫 poetic work-in-progress.
This translation project is part of the larger mission of The Life of H: Sarah, Reimagined, which seeks to restore the power of the divine feminine to what’s generally known as a patriarchal origin story. 🌅 Get the big picture here.
Scroll down for the Table of (Evolving) Contents for links to completed verses as they appear. Be sure to check back from time to time for the latest updates.
About the paywall
Some of the best stuff, including the translations and poems, are often behind a paywall.
There are several reasons for that, including that this is a labor of love, yes! but it’s also hard work and valuable work.
If you believe in this project want to support it (in any amount!) choose one of these options:
OPTION ONE: Pay the standard price of $50/year
Subscribe at the standard rate and receive unfettered access to poems, translations, essays, and peeks into the author’s notes and musings. Plus you’ll receive bonus audio and visual content!
👆🏼These are good options, but they’re not the only ones. See the Pay-What-You-Choose option below 👇🏼, too.
OPTION TWO: Pay-what-you-choose
If you want to get the paid content, but the standard price prevents you, use this link to pay-what-you-choose (no questions asked).
Table of Contents
I’ve created this ever-evolving Table of Contents for this ongoing translation project to:
guide you through the verses in order (although sometimes I post them out of sequence);
give you the big picture of where we are and where we’re going in Sarah’s story';
track the progress of the translation, as it evolves, in real time.
An introduction
I began the Life of H: Sarah, Reimagined Translation Project with a reflection on the importance of names, including the Hebrew word for name, and one tragic way that Sarah’s ancient name has been used in modern history.
Translating a story one word at a time, and Sarah’s name.

Genesis Chapter 1
Sarah is not mentioned in this chapter, but she is part of the larger story that bursts into being with the words, “Let there be …”
I do not plan to translate this chapter, but this poem sets the stage from the rest of the poems to come in my Sarah series.
Genesis 11 verses 27-32
Sarah first appears in Genesis 11:32, when she is mentioned as the barren wife of Avram.

Genesis Chapter 13 verse 18
