Welcome back to The Life of H: Sarah, Reimagined. Here you’ll find poems and lyrical prose inspired by the life of the biblical matriarch, Sarah.


The Life of H: Sarah Reimagined, did not begin as an exploration of Sarah’s story. It began with a fascination with Abraham’s.

In particular, it was the most old-testamenty of the Old Testament stories that pulled me in: The Binding of Isaac, or The Akedah. In that story, God commands Abraham to sacrifice his son. I write more about that, here:
