The Life of H: Sarah Reimagined, did not begin as an exploration of Sarah’s story. It began with a fascination with Abraham’s.
In particular, it was the most old-testamenty of the Old Testament stories that pulled me in: The Binding of Isaac, or The Akedah. In that story, God commands Abraham to sacrifice his son. I write more about that, here:
Today I continue to share my personal connection with Abraham. And then I turn to Sarah and ask: What was Sarah’s test? What did she sacrifice? And how does that relate to the moment we, as a human family, are confronting now?
