Barren Womb
Today's audio poem questions the assumption that Sarah's childless state was a problem. Could it instead have been a plan? Listen in for my take.
About Today’s Poem
Today’s (brief) poem, “
BarrenWomb” returns to a recurring theme in The Life of H: Sarah, Reimagined: my belief that Sarah was not barren. Instead, I think she chose to remain childless for most of her life. That seemingly radical proposition is based on evidence that to the fact that she was likely a Mesopotamian priestess, and in that role, she was expected to remain childless.
